Payment Plans

At Dr. Gilder's office we accept cash, checks,and most major credit cards. We also accept most dental insurance payments. We are not, however, participating providers with all insurance companies. As a non participating provider, some benefits may be limited or non covered with your insurance provider. We can best determine this by filing a pre-treatment authorization with your insurance company prior to starting any proposed treatment plan.


Payment Methods

Important dental decisions should be made based upon the patient's needs and the dentist's recommendations, NOT what insurance will or will not pay. We work hard to give you the best dental service at a reasonable fee. We are a fee for service office.

If you are unable to make the entire payment - prior arrangements are required before the start of treatment.

Delayed treatment is never good. It can worsen an already bad dental condition and increase your out of pocket expense.

Several financing options are available to help our patients afford their dental care. They include 6 month no interest options and long term low interest plans through Care Credit and Prosper Dental.

We accept insurance payments - when they will pay us directly. However, we are only participating providers with Delta Dental. We also accept cash, check and most major credit cards to include Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Insurance Payments

We will try to help you maximize your dental insurance plan benefits. It is one of the many resources you have available to you, as a means of paying for your dental treatment. We research your available benefits, then process and submit your insurance claims for you as a complimentary service. However, we cannot guarantee the amount that will be paid by your carrier. Therefore, the patient/guarantor is ultimately responsible for the payment of our fees for professional services rendered. We will work with you to help resolve disputes of claims.

IF OUR PATIENTS HAVE INSURANCE, WE COLLECT 50% AT THE TIME OF SERVICE FOR ALL MAJOR PROCEDURES AND 20% FOR RESTORATIVE PROCEDURES. (Please note that our fees are the same whether a patient has insurance coverage or not).

The annual maximum, the quality, the types of benefits and the actual percentages of coverage were chosen by your employer from a list of plans made available by the carrier. The prevailing relationship we have with insurance carriers is through you and the contract is between you (the insured) and the carrier that was chosen by your employer.


Despite our sincere efforts to have moderate fees comparable to that of many dentists in the area, sometimes we have had to structure our fees to reflect that commitment to quality versus subsistence quality dentistry.


You may receive an EOB (estimation of benefits) from your insurance carrier that has the following statement : "The fee was above the UCR" (usual and customary rates). The UCR has no bearing on prevailing fees in the area. It is merely a fee that the carrier has chosen to pay for a service.

The patient, as the person making treatment decisions regarding their dental needs should base such decisions, NOT ON THE DICTATES OF THEIR DENTAL BENEFIT PLAN, but on the appropriateness and quality of care that will serve their personal and best long term interests.
